Financial Record keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Budget Management: Assist in the development, monitoring, and analysis of annual budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Grant Management: Administer and track grant funds, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and timely reporting.
Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure adherence to local, national, and international financial standards and legal requirements.
Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support external audits to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
Bank and Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
Expense Control: Review and approve expenses in line with established policies and budgets.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to inform decision-making.
Financial Systems: Maintain and improve financial management systems and processes.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in an NGO or non-profit setting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
