Farmers clubs set up with the objective of building community-based organizations formed by farmers to address common challenges, share knowledge, and collectively work towards improving agricultural practices and livelihoods. These clubs are involved widely in their structure, objectives, and activities depending on the region and the specific needs of the farmers involved.

Some common activities and objectives of farmers clubs includes run in 2012:
  • Knowledge sharing: Farmers clubs provide a platform for farmers to exchange information, experiences, and best practices related to agriculture, livestock rearing, and other aspects of rural life.
  • Training and capacity building: They may organize training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations on topics such as sustainable farming techniques, crop diversification, soil health management, and pest control.
  • Input supply and marketing: Farmers clubs may facilitate group purchases of agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and machinery, to obtain better prices through bulk buying. They may also collectively market their produce to achieve better prices in the market.
  • Access to finance: Some farmers clubs collaborate with financial institutions or government agencies to provide access to credit, insurance, or other financial services to their members.
  • Community development: Farmers clubs often engage in community development activities such as promoting rural infrastructure development, advocating for farmers' rights, and participating in local governance processes.
