Our Objectives

Gram Sathi's objectives are guided by our commitment to creating an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable society. Our work is rooted in community participation, partnership, and equity.

  • Protect child rights through various programs for child labour, child trafficking, child marriage, and child sexual abuse.
  • To promote natural resource management, agriculture improvisation, safe drinking water, agro-forestry and environment conservation measures.
  • To protect disabled people and old aged people through programs on health and rehabilitation measures.
  • To protect women in distress to bring them into the mainstream of life.
  • To work towards protecting the rights and dignity of children and persons with disabilities by promoting awareness, access to services, inclusion, and protection mechanisms.

Empowering

  • Provide technical knowhow and skills through vocational training and other capacity development programs for livelihood promotion and dissemination of information for local resource management and conservation of traditional system for improving the quality of life and living standards of the people.
  • Women Empowerment — strengthening financial awareness, leadership, and decision-making capacity of women.
  • Develop leadership and capacity of the youth and adolescent for participation in the development process.
  • To capacitate community based groups, women SHG in particular for advocacy and social mobilization for actualization of development process among the community.
  • To support women and marginalized communities in developing sustainable livelihood opportunities through skill enhancement, entrepreneurship development, value chain strengthening, and market linkages.

Toward Sustainability

  • Strengthen community driven initiatives for people empowerment, sustainable livelihood, health management, total literacy and holistic development of the community in general with an emphasis on the poor and marginalized sections of the society.
  • To sustain natural resource management and promote environmental sustainability through biodiversity conservation, climate-resilient practices, and community participation.
  • To work with rural communities to address development challenges by improving access to resources, strengthening local institutions, promoting government scheme convergence, and supporting community-led development initiatives.
  • To support vulnerable communities during emergencies through relief assistance, rehabilitation support, and disaster response interventions.
  • To create awareness on health, nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare practices among communities.
  • To provide skill development opportunities and capacity-building support to youth, women, and community members to enhance employability, entrepreneurship, and leadership capabilities.
